Media coverage of the arts has greatly expanded since Colorado Public Radio hired an arts editor and reporter. Chloe Veltman (right) was hired as arts editor and she gives a preview each Thursday on Colorado Matters of music, dance, drama, visual art and film events statewide.

Successful media relations relies on having a receptive audience. For years, CPR had a narrow focus on what they would cover. Arts and culture organizations now have two arts-related staff members:  Arts reporter Ange-Aimee Woods also recently joined the staff and a third will be added in coming months.

The network already posts news online but is expanding this venue with the addition of  digital editor Jay Keller, who has led digital newsrooms for the Washington Post and US News and World Report. CPR News promises comprehensive multi-media programming, including stories, reviews, blog posts, video and social media feeds.
